METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL IDENTIFICATION AND STRUCTURING FOR ASSESSMENT PURPOSES
Abstract
The study explores both the theoretical and methodological aspects of structuring and identifying a company's intellectual capital as a critical resource in today's transformational economy. The relevance of the research is driven by the need to transform intellectual capital concepts into applied managerial tools that enable the assessment of its impact on business performance. As part of the research, the author conducted a critical analysis of existing approaches to intellectual capital classification. This analysis revealed that most modern approaches to analyzing the structure of intellectual capital and identifying its elements do not fully account for the economic and legal nature of individual capital components, nor their capacity for independent identification and alienation by the company. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the development of the author's structural-logical scheme for classifying intellectual capital elements based on four fundamental criteria: the nature of origin (internal or external), the possibility of alienation, the level of legal identification, and the nature of the impact on performance indicators (direct or indirect). The article analyzes the structure of human, structural, and relational capital through the lens of these criteria. The practical significance of the study lies in the proposed system of quantitative and qualitative indicators for measuring each element of intellectual capital. The approach proposed by the author enables enterprise management not only to identify hidden intellectual resources but also to evaluate their overall impact on profit generation processes and the formation of the company's market value.
